Gerald
Bachmeier - Chief Manager
Gerald grew up on a diversified farming
operation in southwestern North Dakota. He is a graduate of Bismarck State
College and holds a degree in Process Plant Technology. Gerald has been
involved in the ethanol industry for the past eighteen years. He has served as
a Plant Manager of Morris Ag Energy and Chief Marketing Manager of United
Ethanol Sales. Gerald was instrumental in the formation of DENCO, LLC and was
the major role player for the acquisition of Morris Ag Energy. He was also
instrumental in the design and construction of DENCO, LLC as it stands today.
He is currently the Chief Manager of DENCO, LLC; Greenway Consulting, LLC; and
Golden Lyk. Gerald was instrumental in the sale of
DENCO, LLC to Babcock and Brown. He also took the lead position on the
development and building of Red Trail Energy, LLC in Richadton,
ND. Gerald also sits on the Board of Directors for Renewable Products Marking
Group (RPMG), Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) and the Minnesota Coalition for
Ethanol.
Jason
Carter - Senior VP of Operations
Jason, a native of Hazen, North Dakota, has
over 16 years of experience in the ethanol industry. He received his Associates
degree in Process and Power Plant Technology from Bismark
State College. In 1992 he accepted a job in Morris, Minnesota as an Operations
Supervisor. Jason served in this position until 1998 when DENCO, LLC purchased
Morris Ag Energy. At this time Jason was hired as Plant Manager. He held this
position until May, 2002. During this time period, Jason was responsible for
the overall management of the plant operations. When Greenway Consulting, LLC
was formed, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations. Jason is
responsible for the daily operations of Greenway Consulting and is also
involved with the day-to-day operations of DENCO, LLC. Jason was involved
throughout the development and build out of the Red
Trail Energy in Richardton, ND and has been involved with all Greenway
development projects and ICM start-ups.
Barry
Morgan - Project Coordinator
Barry, is a native of Clanton,
Alabama, and has over 22 years of Industrial Construction experience of which
19 have been in salaried supervisory positions. The majority of the last 11
years has been Ethanol related in such places as Luverne,
MN; Glenville, MN; Morris, MN; Craig, MO; Clatskanie, OR; Monroe, WI; Aurora,
SD; Marcus, IA; Garnett, KS; Plainview, NE; Central City, NE; Minden, NE;
Columbus, NE; Richardton, ND; and Fairmont, MN. Barry received his
Bachelors degree in Building Science from Auburn University in 1988 and has
worked in the Industrial Construction Field as a Subcontract Coordinator,
Estimator, Office Engineer, Chief Field Engineer, Assistant Project Manager,
Project Manager, Regional Coordinator and accepted a position as Project
Coordinator for Greenway in September 2005. Other non Ethanol clients
that Barry has worked with include, International Paper, Federal Paper Board,
DuPont, Gulf States Paper, Westvaco, Shell Offshore, Weyerhaeuser, Merck, ADM,
Nebraska Public Power, Terra Nitrogen and Glaxo Wellcome.
Larry
Heintzelman – Construction Manager
A native of West Central Minnesota, Larry has
developed extensive knowledge in construction through diverse work
experiences. He has been employed
by several companies, operating an assortment of equipment throughout 37 years
of construction experience; including his own business for 27 of those
years. He has worked in a variety
of fields including residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial. In 2002 Larry joined Greenway Consulting
as Construction Manager. He has
worked on several projects at Denco, LLC in Morris,
Minnesota and Quad County Ethanol in Galva, Iowa. In addition to his daily involvement
during the developmental phase of Red Trail Energy, Larry acted as the on-site
Owners’ representative during the construction and start up of the
facility. Among other duties, Larry
continues to use his knowledge and experience for the benefit of Red Trail
Energy, Denco as well as other projects.
Brandon
Nygaard – Process Manager
Brandon has been working in the ethanol
industry for eight years and the power process industry for five. He is experienced in ethanol plant
production, operations and start up.
Brandon began his career in the ethanol industry in 1996 at Chippewa
Valley Ethanol Company (CVEC) in Benson MN, a 40 MGPY facility. During
his five years he held positions as operator and shift supervisor. Brandon also worked as Boiler Operator
at Corn Plus in Winnebago, MN and Willmar Municipal Utilities Power Plant in
Willmar, MN. In 2006 Brandon joined
ICM as a Methanator Service Representative before
transferring to the start up crew as a Trainer and has been involved with many
plant start ups throughout the United States. Brandon joined Greenway Consulting in 2008.

Mick
Miller – President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Miller is currently President
and Chief Executive Officer of Red Trail Energy, LLC (RTE), a 50 MGY coal fired
ethanol facility in Richardton,
North Dakota. From June of 2005
to August 2006, he was the General Manager for RTE. Prior to joining RTE, he worked for Diversified Energy Company LLC (DENCO), a
25 MGY ethanol facility in Morris,
Minnesota beginning in September
1999. At DENCO, Mr. Miller was Operations Supervisor from July 2000 through May
2002 and Plant Manager from May 2002 to June 2005. He has served since May 2005
to the present on the Advisory Board for the Process Plant Technology Program
at Bismarck State College in Bismarck, North Dakota and has served on the board
since October 2006 as the Vice President for the North Dakota Ethanol Producers
Association. Mr. Miller devotes 95% of his time to the RTE and 5% of his time
to Greenway Consulting, LLC.
Ed
Thomas – Plant Manager
Ed Thomas is currently the Plant
Manager of Red Trail Energy (RTE) in Richardton, ND, a 50 MGPY coal fired
facility and one of only 4 ICM process designed coal fired plants in the
nation. Ed joined RTE in June
of 2006 to assist in management of the construction phase, secure RTE employees,
procure plant equipment, and oversee plant start-up operations in January
2007. As Plant Manager for RTE he
implemented the development and training of the operations staff along with
policies and procedures for the company.
Ed believes working with a plant which recently started operations and
integrating new process technology into the plant’s current configuration
has been an exciting challenge.
Prior to joining Red Trail, Ed
was employed for six years at Chippewa Valley Ethanol Company (CVEC) in Benson,
MN. His last position at CVEC was
Operations Coordinator. While at
CVEC Ed was involved in research and development of new products. He was a part of the team that developed
the industrial alcohol and beverage products, including CVEC’s own
Shaker’s Vodka.
Ed began his career at Bismarck
State College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and Process
Plant Technology. He has obtained
further education in management and engineering. He feels this background has
provided a great tool where his career is today.
